Giving Passion to Fault

In speaking of Law of Attraction, much of the mystery is taken out of it when we realize that we attract not just what we think about, not just what we want, but what we give our attention to. If we take pause, we know there is a difference. We may have a list of goals, written or mental, that we want to accomplish. We may set goals every New Year, or if we are particularly goal-oriented we may even write goals regularly and review them regularly. Yet many of us wonder why we do not reach these goals, or if we do we wonder why we have received a bunch of side-effects along with the goals that we did not want. The simple matter is that we attract what we … Read entire article »

The Reality of The Law Of Attraction

Since the publishing of The Secret by Rhonda Byrne in 2006, many have become familiar with the term Law of Attraction and have become interested, intrigued, and sometimes confused by this phenomena of Law of Attraction. People often wonder, “what is Law of Attraction (LOA)? How do I use LOA in my life? If I use LOA to get what I want in life, where does what I don’t want come from?” All these are valid questions and should be addressed. In personal irony for me, my metaphysical  book What If God Were One Of Us? was published five months prior to The Secret, and for me it just shows that there was great energy surrounding Law of Attraction and personal manifesting around this time, and it was time for the … Read entire article »

Knowledge of Self

How many of us really know our true selves? What is it that we call our selves? A bunch of internal mental chatter that was programmed into us in our formative years as our parents, teachers, and other edified individuals drilled into our heads what they thought we should know? Don’t get me wrong: a good deal of this internal chatter was actually good stuff that we needed and still rely upon to function and stay safe in this world, given to us by people who love us no doubt. However, in there with the programming that tells us to stay away from fire, to look both ways before crossing the street, and to wash our hands before meals is also internal chatter that tells us we need to make … Read entire article »

I Have a Vision

On this commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday, I felt it would be appropriate to speak on vision. A dream is a vision, and a vision held and cultivated can become manifest reality. Dr. King definitely had a vision, as did Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. King’s contemporary, Father Allah, founder of the Five Percent Nation. Over 40 years later, what is important is that today we learn that visions can become manifest reality, and that we make conscious choices as to what visions we hold firm in our minds as we go about on a day to day basis. Too often, visioning and meditation are taught as ritual to be performed on some special occasion, or special time of day. Ritual can be helpful in helping us maintain a practice, … Read entire article »

God Mind on Dial-up or Hi-Speed

For Sunday, I thought I’d keep things a bit light yet interesting, before delving into new meaty topics for the next week. Having already established that the Universal Mind, or God Mind, is not located inside the body yet is part of both the individual and collective experience, what then about how we access the God Mind? After all, once we realize that the issue is not whether we have access to omnipotence or Universal energy, its how readily accessible it is, then we realize that we are dealing with maintaining and keeping the best connection in order to prosper. Presuming that according to the subject matter we’re dealing with here that we’re not dealing with those who have no conscious connection with the Universal Mind we are then left with … Read entire article »

Holding the Vision, Living the Dream

As we have come upon another birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and approach another King Holiday, I am of course drawn to the topic of holding the vision. Dr. King’s most famous speech, I Have a Dream, was about his vision for a new America. The politics of the speech and the correctness of his vision are irrelevant to my point here; what is important is looking at King’s vision and his effectiveness in holding that vision and making it manifest. Mohandas K. Ghandi, whom Dr. King admired and patterned himself after in many ways, was a man who was all about holding a vision and making it manifest as the work he spearheaded led to the independence of the Indian subcontinent from the British Empire. Non-violence was more … Read entire article »

Sinning Is For Sinners

The concept of Original Sin is one that has always been a disturbing one to me, since most adherents claim that we are all sinners since this first man called Adam sinned and therefore we have inherited sin, and furthermore that the only way we shall overcome this sin is to “accept the Lord Jesus Christ” as our Savior. Such oversimplicity is no better than pop culture to a people who need constructive guidance to build their lives, their families and their communities. The story of Adam and Eve is a great display of how man and woman allowed duality into their thinking and separated themselves from God Consciousness, thus causing their “fall” from paradise (direct connection with Source) and their subsequent thrust into toil and labor. Religion is placed between … Read entire article »

Rain, Hail, Snow and Earthquakes

Recent news has my mind on natural phenomena and catapstrophe, and considering the topic matter of the last couple of days it is only fitting that I address the Universal Mind and its effect on such phenomena. Most people are very hesitant to delve into the matter of the cause of the effects of what we see in the way of torrential rains, deadly blizzards, tornadoes, tsunamis and earthquakes. Yet for those of us who find ourselves agreeing with the subject matter covered in the God Mind even to the slightest, we must entertain the thought that our environmental and weather conditions are not random occurrences totally outside the control of ourselves. While I in no way make light of the torment and anguish that the people of Haiti are going … Read entire article »

The God Mind, Part Deux

It is important that, if we are to evolve in consciousness, we begin to actively embrace the God Mind. Outmoded thinking that involves the extreme of thinking that we are tools of some distant god in a heaven we can never get to until we die. or the other extreme of thinking that there is nothing beyond the brain and individual self, must be replaced with an expanded viewpoint. As a youth beginning to become conscious I used to hear of Triple Darkness, but did not understand it. I can now see that Triple Darkness is the same phenomena that we witness as a Black Hole in the Universe; no light nor any matter can escape it, and therefore it is the epitome of the lack of space-time, since the laws … Read entire article »

The God Mind

The subject of mind and brain is one of age old debate. Is the mind located in the brain, located in the body with the brain as a base, or outside of the localized lump of gray matter we call our brain and outside the body as well? Practical thinkers will argue that teachings of a mind outside of the body is a mystery teaching with no basis in reality, while thinkers on the other end of the spectrum will insist that the brain is simply a receiving station for a non-localized mind which permeates the Universe. There is mounting evidence that it is not possible that the mind be located in the brain or the body, since individuals can access information that they absolutely have not physically come into contact … Read entire article »
